Basingstoke Town Football in the Community School Of Development Centre
Basingstoke Town Football Club Football in the Community scheme in conjunction with our community providers Learning Through Sport Limited are delighted to announce that for the 2011/2012 season we will be running a School of Development Centre for some of the most exciting and promising youngsters within Basingstoke and Deane and surrounding boroughs.
The School of Development Centre is a professional set up with professional aims. Basingstoke Town Football Club has a vested interest in the development of young local talent and our aim is to have a regular annual feed into our 16+ aged academy side and finally into the world of semi-professional football with the senior side. The School of Development Centre is designed to educate and improve talented players.
We aim to run the centre in conjunction with local youth teams and clubs offering players in the following age ranges for the new season U7/U8/U9 and U10 (please see age ranges below) the opportunity to have the chance to become part of our School Of Development Centre.
Unlike professional clubs we have no intention of setting up our own Basingstoke Town Football Club youth teams and “stealing” the local grassroots clubs and teams best players. Within our School of Development Centre we do not look to take players away from their clubs and teams but to work together to bring along a player, which in turn should benefit their regular sides.

Weekly top coaching sessions provided by UEFA/FA Qualified coaches using some of the most up to date methods and methodologies.
Coaching to take place on our top of the range recently refurbished 3G pitches.
Specialist Coaching for Goalkeepers.
Arranged matches against Semi-Professional/Professional Development Centres.
Sharing good practice sessions for local clubs and managers.

Saturday Morning Soccer School is Back
Basingstoke Town Football Club Football in the Community announce the relaunch for our Saturday Morning Soccer School starting on 14th May 2011.
The sessions will be held on the refurbished astro turf courts at the Camrose Ground, Basingstoke Town Football Club.
3 and half to 11 year old boys and girls of all abilities from 9.30-10.30am
Our first session is FREE! (on the 14th May only)

Cancellation - Learning Through Sport LTD reserves the right to cancel or postpone any session for any reason. In the event of which, either a refund will be given or an alternative session will be offered by lieu.5. Learning Through Sport reserves the right to exclude any child whose behaviour we deem inappropriate. 6. All Learning Through Sport LTD coaches are approved and police checked through the criminal records bureau. 7. On occasions, Learning Through Sport LTD or their representatives may take photographs/filmings for promotional purposes only. 8. Learning Through Sport LTD do not accept responsibility or liability in respect of any loss or damage to personal property or effects. 9. Curriculum Time Coaching
The scheme offers local schools the chance to receive coaching during curriculum time. A qualified FA coach employed by the club can visit your school with all the necessary equipment for a minimum of six weeks. The flexible approach adopted by our staff ensures the sessions to be adapted to the age group sizes and the facility provided by the school. This service provides an ideal opportunity for teaching staff to learn new skills, which can support their own teaching of this activity.
After Schools And Lunch Time Coaching Clubs
This is a service available to local schools. These clubs are run on a six week block period which consists of FA qualified coaches visiting schools at lunch time, or at the end of the school day, to coach boys and girls the skills and techniques of the game. All the necessary equipment will be provided; all we ask is that you provide the children and the facility. After School Clubs can also use the club’s Astroturf facilities during winter months providing the children can be transported to the Camrose ground.
Holiday Coaching Courses
Young people can make the most of their holiday time by attending a variety of soccer courses throughout the year. The courses are run throughout all school holidays and provide an exciting way for young people to learn skills and techniques in a safe and friendly environment. The courses are run for children in the age groups 5 to 14 years. The package includes: Coaching by FA qualified coaches. Fun and educational practices for football skills. Certificate. Making new friends !
Local Youth Teams
The Community Scheme offers coaching support to local boys and girls clubs. The flexible approach of our coaches enables them to fit in with the Club's requirement and can therefore work players on a short or long term basis.

Basingstoke Town invites Local Youth Football Teams to take part in Half Time Exhibition Matches at First Team Home Games ( Saturdays Only). Meet the Players and People behind the Scenes, Lead out the Teams, and Play a Match on the Camrose Pitch.

Basingstoke Town Football Club Announce New NVQ Level 2 Course
Basingstoke Town Football Club are currently looking for a number of Apprentices aged between 16-18 to join our community coaching programme.
Initially you will be employed on a 16 week contract with a two week work trial and will spend time gaining work experience as well as working towards gaining invaluable qualifications. These include an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership, Community Sports Leader Award, Key Skills and FA Level 1 Coaching badge.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody looking to launch a career in coaching or the active leisure sector. Places are very limited so please contact us promptly.

Club Announce New Disability & Educational Needs Football Sessions
The Club are pleased to announce the launch of our disability and educational needs football sessions at The Camrose Stadium, Basingstoke Town Football Club.
We will be running two sessions a week on the astro turf courts, during school term times, one on a Wednesday evening 5pm til 6pm for 5-10 year old boys and girls, £3.00 per session and a Friday evening 5pm til 6pm for 11-15 year old boys and girls, £3.00 per session .
Please Note: Sessions Resume Wednesday 25th & Friday 27th January 2012
We are more than happy to try and be flexible with regards to age groups so if you don’t fit the age category for one session we are more than happy to accept you on the other session night, please contact us for more information.
