Upon his retirement, Jason was asked about moving into management by the Basingstoke Gazette. He said, 'I have got my coaching badges and that is something I would like to go into'. He went on, 'I need to get my foot in the door, whether that be here or elsewhere but if I had to go away, my goal would be to come back here (to BTFC) and manage'.

The club held a testimonial for Jason in the summer to celebrate his ten years with Basingstoke so far.
